Reusing stuff

Reusing is the middle of the three Rs. If we already have something, it's too late to "reduce" and it may not be ready to be "recycle" if indeed it can be.

For example, we reuse plastic bags. Should we even be using plastic bags? We try not to use them any more than we have to, but when we do, we wash them and reuse them. We haven't yet explored how long it's safe to reuse plastic bags anyway.

And some things can continue to be used, even if they're not in tip-top shape. Many of our towels are somewhat ragged around the edges. We wouldn't offer these to a guest, but they're good enough for us to use.

We've reused stuff in different ways, including repairing stuff, repurposing stuff, and by renting or sharing stuff.
